Verizon 1Q23 revenues down 1.9% to USD32.9bn

US telecoms giant Verizon Communications has reported total operating revenues of USD32.912 billion for the three months ended 31 March 2023, down 1.9% from USD33.554 billion on an annualised basis. Meanwhile, first quarter operating income was reported at USD7.584 billion, down from USD7.796 billion year-on-year. Finally, net income for 1Q23 climbed 6.5% to USD5.018 billion, compared to USD4.711 billion in the year-ago period.

In operational terms, Verizon’s Consumer unit closed out 31 March 2023 with 114.523 million mobile subscriptions and 8.202 million fixed broadband subscriptions. The telco’s Business unit, meanwhile, claimed 28.820 million mobile and 1.192 million fixed broadband subscriptions.
