Colombia launches quickfire consultation on extended AWS band

Colombia’s Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications (Ministerio de Tecnologias de la Informacion y las Comunicaciones, MinTIC) launched a consultation regarding the extended AWS band on 19 April 2023, via Resolution 01505. The spectrum comprises a 2×25MHz block in the 1755MHz-1780MHz/2155MHz-2180MHz range. The distribution of the band forms part of the government’s 5G strategy. Interested parties have until 11:59pm tonight (26 April) to submit feedback to the regulator.
