Sao Paulo-based ISP Brasil TecPar has agreed a takeover deal for TV Alphaville, which is based in the affluent Alphaville district of Sao Paulo and also covers locations such as Barueri, Santana de Parnaiba, Cotia, Jandira, Cajamar and Itapevi. TV Alphaville was founded as a pay-TV provider by Guilherme Stoliar in 1992 and currently offers pay-TV and fixed broadband services via its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. According to the National Telecommunications Agency (Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes, Anatel), TV Alphaville claimed 11,818 fixed broadband subscriptions as of 31 December 2022.
According to its website, Brasil TecPar has completed 37 ISP takeovers since 2019 and claims to serve 400,000 subscriptions.
