ImOn closes FiberComm acquisition

6 Apr 2023

Cedar Rapids-based ImOn Communications has closed its acquisition of FiberComm after receiving all of the required regulatory approvals. FiberComm has been providing fixed broadband and voice services to businesses in the Sioux City market for over 20 years. The deal was agreed in January this year.

ImOn was founded in 2007 as a single-market cable provider and has transformed into a regional fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) operator that owns and operates a 2,000-mile network that passes 100,000 households and businesses. The ISP expanded its fibre network to 25,000 additional residential and business addresses in Eastern Iowa in 2022.
