Irish fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) wholesaler SIRO – a joint venture between utility firm Electricity Supply Board (ESB) and Vodafone Ireland – has outlined plans for the expansion of its network in County Cork this year. In a press release regarding the matter, SIRO said it expects to reach an additional 20,000 premises across the county, with it noting that more than 60,000 homes and businesses in the region are already within its network footprint. According to the company, it will invest around EUR25 million in its network in County Cork in 2023, bringing its total investment in the county to more than EUR125 million (USD135 million).
