Eltel Finland has signed a one-year continuation to its current agreement with Finnish telecommunications company Elisa, it has announced. In a press release regarding the matter the company said the contract includes a ‘significant’ expansion of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) construction that is estimated to be worth about EUR32 million (USD35 million). According to Eltel, as per the agreement it will continue to be Elisa’s partner for mobile and fixed network services in Finland, with the contract including services such as mobile and fixed network planning, construction, installation and maintenance. Eltel will also construct FTTH networks for Elisa on a turnkey basis.
