French investment firm Ardian is considering a bid to take full control of Italian tower company INWIT, which has 23,000 mobile towers across Italy. Ardian currently holds around 27% of INWIT, while Vantage Towers – itself owned by Vodafone – owns roughly 33%. Telecom Italia (TIM) has a minority stake. A report from Reuters says plans for a bid are still at an early stage and an offer could take months to materialise.
