Brazilian regional ISP Vero Internet has announced that it has sealed a takeover agreement for 100% of smaller rival Fix BR Participacoes (Fixtell), which operates in Goias and the Federal District. Fixtell serves approximately 36,000 fixed broadband subscriptions and presides over fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure that spans 1,400km and passes approximately 400,000 homes.
While the transaction sees Vero enter the Midwest fixed broadband market for the first time, it is actually the 18th takeover deal negotiated by Vero since its formation in January 2019. Upon closing – which is expected to occur in the first half of 2023 – Vero will own a FTTH network that covers a total of 204 towns and cities.
