Safaricom expands coverage to 21 cities

Safaricom Ethiopia, which launched commercial services in H2 2022, has extended its network coverage to a total of 21 cities nationwide. The operator announced in late December that it had activated its network in five new cities – Hawassa, Assela, Jijiga, Sodo and Dilla – in recent weeks, bringing the total number of cities covered by its network to 21.
