Vodafone Hungary has launched ‘Vodafone ONE’ converged multi-play fixed/mobile packages offering special discounts and other benefits for eligible customers subscribing to at least one mobile and one fixed residential service from the operator. Monthly fee discounts of 20%-30% are available alongside individual device discounts, plus the promise of ‘priority’ service in-store or when contacting the Vodafone call centre. Other benefits include a single converged bill for mobile voice/data, fixed voice, fixed internet and TV, an offer of 3GB extra mobile data and a Vodafone ONE assistant app, while an initial seasonal promotion offers a device discount of up to HUF52,500 (USD132.50) available for smartphones, tablets, TVs, laptops or game consoles.
TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that Vodafone Group acquired Hungary’s then-largest cable broadband operator UPC in July 2019 under a strategy to integrate its triple-play services with Vodafone Hungary’s mobile operations, and from September that year customers taking one or more UPC internet/landline/TV services alongside a Vodafone mobile package received discounts and other benefits, whilst since April 2020 all the group’s fixed broadband, cable TV, fixed telephony and mobile services have been marketed under the Vodafone Hungary brand.
