Swisscom launches 5G FWA business solution

Swiss full-service provider Swisscom has launched a 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) solution for business customers. The operator’s ‘Enterprise Connect’ solution enables business customers without fibre or copper-based connections to integrate one or more business locations into their office networking via Swisscom’s 5G network. Swisscom notes that the system can also be used to provide a mobile backup as a failover to provide additional security. The system uses an exterior receiver mounted on the outside of the building. Swisscom’s Non-Standalone (NSA) network provides 99% population coverage, whilst its Standalone (SA) platform is available to around 70% of the population.
