US fixed broadband operator Frontier Communications has announced that its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) networks now pass five million homes and businesses. The level of progress means that the telco is now halfway to achieving its target – set out in 2021 – of ten million homes and businesses passed by 2025. Veronica Bloodworth, Frontier’s Chief Network Officer, commented: ‘We are delivering our fibre-first strategy at a record pace, knowing the critical role that we play in connecting communities.’
