FiberCop, the last-mile networks firm controlled by Telecom Italia (TIM), has expanded its partnership with regional operator TLC Telecomunicazioni. In April this year TLC signed a deal to use FiberCop’s secondary access infrastructure to offer fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services in seven towns in Lazio, Apulia and Campania. The latest announcement sees Piedmont added to the list of regions covered by the agreement as TLC plans a rollout in the municipality of Serravalle Scrivia.
As noted in TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, FiberCop is owned by TIM (58%), investment firm KKR (37.5%) and Fastweb (4.5%).
