Digi Communications revenues up 18% in Q3

Romania-based Digi Communications has published its financial results for the three months ended 30 September 2022, reporting an 18.9% year-on-year increase in group revenue to EUR385.1 million (USD399.1 million), driven by significant growth in customer relationships across the group. Adjusted EBITDA totalled EUR127.1 million in the reporting period, a 6.4% rise from EUR119.5 million a year earlier, while total operating expenses increased 22.3% to EUR339.3 million, resulting in the group posting a net profit from continuing operations of EUR21.3 million for the quarter, compared with EUR24.9 million in 3Q21.

In operational terms, the group reported a 15% y-o-y rise in total RGUs to 20.074 million at 30 September 2022. Romania continues to be the group’s core market, contributing 15.106 million RGUs in Q3 2022 (up 9.8% from 13.752 million a year earlier), followed by Spain (4.609 million, a 38.7% y-o-y increase) and Italy (359,000, up 15%). The Romanian operation ended the quarter with 5.360 million pay-TV subscriptions (up 6% y-o-y), 4.083 million fixed broadband RGUs (an 11% rise) and 948,000 fixed voice connections (5% lower), while its mobile subscription base grew by 17% to 4.715 million.
