Bakcell commissions 101st BTS in Nagorno-Karabakh

Mobile network operator (MNO) Bakcell has commissioned its 101st base transceiver station (BTS) in the Nagorno-Karabakh region reclaimed by Azerbaijani forces during the armed conflict with Armenia and the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh in 2020. Under a plan announced in March of this year, the telco has invested AZN23 million (USD13.5 million) expanding its network in the region during 2022. Bakcell highlights the deployment of 4G cell sites means its subscribers can make faster, clearer and uninterrupted calls using VoLTE.
