O2 Slovakia has launched pilot fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services in two cities. The operator, which currently offers broadband access for home users via its TD-LTE and 4G networks, is now offering fibre connectivity in Bratislava and Banska Bystrica. Three tariffs are available, providing download rates of up to 1Gbps. The company says it plans to expand the availability of FTTH to other cities using the networks of an unnamed wholesale provider.
