Turkcell reported consolidated quarterly group revenues of TRY14.662 billion (USD787 million) in the three months ended 30 September 2022, up 56.7% year-on-year, which it attributed to strong ARPU growth and the expansion of its Turkish subscription base as well as contributions of its international operations, digital business services, and techfin business. EBITDA climbed 48.7% y-o-y in 3Q22 to TRY5.990 billion, giving an EBITDA margin of 40.9%; operating profit (EBIT) rose 62.4% to TRY3.593 billion resulting in an EBIT margin of 24.5%. Three-month net income jumped 67.6% y-o-y to TRY2.396 billion.
In operational highlights, Turkcell’s Turkish division achieved 300,000 quarterly mobile post-paid net additions excluding M2M SIMs, 506,000 quarterly pre-paid net additions ‘backed by increased tourism activity’, 68,000 fibre broadband net subscription additions, and 240,000 new fibre network homepasses in line with its annual expansion plan. Mobile ARPU ramped up 48.5% y-o-y mainly on the back of sequential price adjustments throughout the year and successful upsell performance; residential fibre ARPU grew 26.5% y-o-y.
