ANCOM receives three applications for 5G spectrum auction

Romanian telecoms watchdog the National Authority for Management & Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) has announced that Orange Romania, RCS&RDS (DIGI) and Vodafone Romania submitted applications to participate in the selection procedure for awarding 555MHz of mobile spectrum in the 700MHz, 1500MHz, 2600MHz and 3400MHz-3800MHz bands by the 17 October deadline. The fourth local mobile network operator (MNO) Telekom Romania Mobile Communications did not register for the procedure. The authorities will now analyse the submissions and announce by 4 November which operators will participate in the auction scheduled to begin on 8 November.
