EMCALI: FTTH network now passes 60,000 homes in Cali

Colombian regional operator Empresas Municipales de Cali (EMCALI) has announced that its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network now passes 60,000 homes in Cali. Locations migrated from copper to fibre thus far include: La Flora, the commercial district of Cali and San Fernando. Going forward, the telco expects the infrastructure to reach 100,000 homes by end-2022 and 200,000 homes by December 2023. In total, EMCALI’s fibre investment is expected to reach COP100 billion (USD21.6 million).
