Linkem Group becomes OpNet

The Italian wholesale ISP Linkem Group has changed its name to OpNet following the sale of its retail operations to Tiscali earlier this year. The firm operates a 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) network using 3.5GHz and 26GHz frequencies. It also holds a 58.6% stake in Tiscali as a result of the transaction to spin off its retail business. For the time being, the Linkem retail brand has been retained by Tiscali, with the Tiscali and Linkem ISP units operating side-by-side.
