Du claims 5G speeds of over 4.5Gbps

United Arab Emirates (UAE) fixed and mobile operator Du says it has achieved download rates of more than 4.5Gbps in 5G trials with Nokia and MediaTek. The telco is using 300MHz of TDD spectrum in the sub-6GHz range: 100MHz at 2.5GHz and 200MHz at 3.5GHz. Du CTO Saleem AlBlooshi commented: ‘This milestone will enable us to plan for the new and enhanced services that we will be able to offer with 5G and put us in a leading position to highlight our commercial 5G capabilities.’
