Banglalink launches 4G in 2300MHz band

23 Sep 2022

Banglalink has launched 4G services in the 2300MHz band in Khulna, in cooperation with equipment vendor ZTE. Banglalink CEO Erik Aas said: ‘The launch of next-generation 4G with the deployment of new spectrum in Khulna shows our firm commitment to this region, which has always been a special market for us. It also demonstrates our intent to transform into a truly national operator.’

TeleGeography notes that Banglalink and ZTE inked a cooperation agreement regarding the 2300MHz spectrum in July 2022. Under the agreement, Banglalink will adopt ZTE’s advanced products and technological solutions to further enrich its customer experiences. With the 2300MHz spectrum, Banglalink will achieve continuous improvements in network speed and coverage across the country. Banglalink’s existing 4G LTE network in the 1800MHz/2100MHz bands went live in February 2018.
