A1 Croatia plans fibre rollouts to unserved areas

A1 Croatia says it has embarked on a series of fibre network rollouts covering unserved and underserved areas of the country. According to a report from SeeBiz, this includes a HRK77.3 million (USD10.1 million) project in the area of Ivanic Grad and Dugo Selo, a HRK113.5 million rollout centred on the city of Kastela in Split-Dalmatia county and a HRK15.7 million investment around the city of Solin. The telco aims to provide fixed broadband connectivity at speeds up to 1Gbps. A1 targets 60% fibre network coverage across Croatia within the next two years; it already covers some 600,000 households with its gigabit infrastructure.
