Sri Lankan telco Dialog Axiata has revealed plans to invest USD152.4 million on the expansion of its mobile and fibre-optic networks. The Malaysia-backed operator has signed deals with Sri Lanka’s Board of Investment (BOI) whereby Dialog Axiata will invest USD112.8 million to expand rural 4G LTE network coverage (including deep-indoor coverage), and its subsidiary Dialog Broadband Networks will spend USD39.6 million on the further development of its Wi-Fi and fibre networks.
