Ukrainian national fixed telco Ukrtelecom has reported that demand for its fibre broadband internet services has continued to recover. After falling to minimal levels at the outbreak of war in the country, an increase in consumer demand has been recorded in recent months, with the operator receiving significantly more applications for optical internet connections in August than in the spring – about 2,000 new connections per week, with the most activations in the Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kharkiv regions. As of the beginning of September, Ukrtelecom counted more than 300,000 active home fibre internet subscriptions.
