Movistar’s FTTH network passes one million homes in Bogota

Telefonica Colombia (Movistar) has announced that it has reached the milestone of one million homes passed with its Bogota-based fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The telco notes that its footprint spans 622 neighbourhoods across 18 locations and is equivalent to 41% of homes in the capital. The expansion activity follows a COP79 billion (USD17.6 million) rollout. Going forward, Movistar expects its FTTH networks to pass 1.2 million homes by end-December 2022.
