United Group H2 results boosted by acquisitions

United Group, which has fixed broadband, pay-TV and mobile operations across southeast Europe, has reported revenues of EUR1.27 billion (USD1.26 billion) for the first half of 2022, up 39% year-on-year. The growth was driven by the acquisitions of Wind Hellas in Greece, Optima Telekom of Croatia and Nova BG in Bulgaria. Adjusted EBITDA after lease rose 29% to EUR445 million, while net loss widened to EUR71 million, from EUR16 million in H1 2021.

The group claimed 15.38 million revenue generating units (RGUs) at the end of June 2022, including 1.61 million fixed broadband subscriptions and 6.96 million mobile subscriptions.
