Swiss full-service provider Salt has reported total revenue of CHF260.0 million (USD269.7 million) for the second quarter of 2022, up 4.6% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA grew by 2.9% over the same period to CHF136.6 million, but free cash flow fell by 23.4% to CHF58.1 million with Salt attributing the dip to higher tax payments and higher net cash used in investing activities. Salt counted a total of 1.829 million mobile subscriptions at the end of June 2022, a decrease of 0.4% y-o-y. Post-paid mobile lines improved by 5.9% to 1.419 million, including net additions of 24,700 in Q2 2022, which Salt claimed was the operator’s largest figure for quarterly post-paid net additions in ten years. Mobile ARPU improved to CHF31.2 in Q2 2022 from CHF30.5 in Q2 2021. Salt did not provide subscription data for its residential fixed broadband and pay-TV business but claimed to have ‘maintained commercial momentum on ultra fast broadband’.
