Tele2 Estonia has confirmed plans to close its 3G network, most likely by the end of 2025, ERR reports. Rival operator Telia has already said it will shut down 3G services by the end of next year, while the country’s third cellco, Elisa, says a 3G network closure is ‘one of the company’s major strategic actions for the near future, though a definite schedule is not yet in place’. Telia, Tele2 and Elisa all recently won 3.5GHz licences in the Estonian government’s 5G spectrum auction.
