OTE Group of Greece has reported revenues of EUR849.6 million (USD866.6 million) in the second quarter of 2022, up 2.7% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA after lease climbed 7.2% to EUR332.8 million, while adjusted profit attributable to shareholders was up 24.4% at EUR132.5 million.
Mobile subscriptions in Greece were up 4.8% in the year to 30 June 2022 at 7.32 million, while in Romania the mobile subscription total climbed 11.3% to 3.94 million.
Chairman and CEO Michael Tsamaz said: ‘We realised another solid quarter, extending OTE’s momentum in a tough environment of geopolitical and inflationary pressures. In Greece, our mobile revenues show continued strength, while in fixed we deployed attractive initiatives, notably higher speed broadband, to strengthen our consumer offerings and enhance customer loyalty. In Romania, revenues and profitability increased as our operations gradually restore their positioning as a mobile-only operator.’
