MTN expands fixed broadband to the home market

MTN Nigeria, the country’s largest mobile operator by subscriptions, has announced the revamp and relaunch of its home broadband services. The firm is offering residential connectivity via fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and FWA networks, with a variety of capped or uncapped data plans available to connect multiple devices at home or in the office. The fibre network currently covers parts of Victoria Island, Kaduna, Ilorin, VGC Estate (Lagos), Mayfair Estate (Lagos), Crown Estate (Lagos), Chevron Estate (Lagos), Belmonte Apartment (Lagos), Methodist Apartment (Lagos), Shell Estate (Port Harcourt) and CITEC (Abuja), while the FWA router service has ‘nationwide’ coverage via MTN’s 3G and 4G networks.
