Lumen unveils symmetrical 8Gbps fibre service

Lumen Technologies (formerly CenturyLink) has launched a symmetrical 8Gbps fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service via its Quantum Fiber brand. 8Gbps transmission speeds are available to ‘select residents and small businesses in cities near Denver, Minneapolis and Seattle’ from launch, although additional markets are expected to go live later this year.
