Telekom rolls out faster fixed broadband for 386,000 homes

Telekom Deutschland (TD), the domestic operating unit of Deutsche Telekom (DT), says it upgraded fixed broadband speeds for an additional 386,000 households in June. The firm revealed that a total of 34.4 million homes can access maximum data rates of up to 100Mbps and the number of 250Mbps-enabled lines has reached 27.7 million nationwide. In addition, TD states that the total number of households connected to its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network rose by 122,000 in June, to 3.9 million, enabling maximum speeds of up to 1Gbps. Since the beginning of the year, more than three million households have benefited from TD’s upgrade and expansion work.
