Cosmote claims 70% 5G coverage

Greek fixed and mobile operator Cosmote, part of OTE Group, says it has reached 70% population coverage with its 5G mobile network. The firm says it expects coverage levels to hit 80% by the end of this year and 90% by end-2023. Cosmote adds that the implementation of 5G Standalone (SA) technology will begin next year. OTE Group claims to have invested EUR5 billion (USD5.1 billion) over the past ten years, with another EUR3 billion to be spent by end-2027.
