Slovak fixed and mobile operator 4ka (formerly SWAN) has signed a cooperation agreement with local cableco UPC, Zive.sk writes. 4ka will gain access to UPC’s fixed broadband network which passes 633,000 households, allowing it to market broadband internet and pay-TV services. 4ka also has a wholesale deal with Slovak Telekom (ST) which covers 894,000 households, while it operates its own fibre infrastructure which reaches 160,000 premises and a TD-LTE network which covers around 400,000 homes.
Separately, 4ka has revealed that it expanded its 4G LTE network to 48 new locations in the first half of this year, taking its population coverage to above 85%.
