T-Mobile US has extended its ‘5G Home Internet’ fixed wireless access (FWA) service to 81 new towns and cities across Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. The operator notes that nearly five million homes are covered by the latest phase of its expansion programme. In total, more than 40 million households – a third of which are in rural America – are now eligible for 5G Home Internet.
According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, T-Mobile US launched its 5G Home Internet service in April 2021, with initial coverage of 30 million households. The company claimed a total of 984,000 fixed broadband subscriptions as of 31 March 2022.
