Estonia’s auction of a second 3.5GHz 5G mobile licence has so far attracted bids of more than EUR4.5 million (USD4.7 million). The second of three available concessions is being fought over by Telia, Tele2 and Bite Group, with the first licence having already been won by Elisa with a bid of EUR7.2 million. A report from ERR says there have so far been 30 rounds of bidding in the second auction, and the bidding process is likely to last some time more. Elisa launched a 5G network using its new spectrum earlier this month.
