Vi bolsters MP 4G network with 900MHz, 1800MHz

Indian cellco Vodafone Idea (Vi) has strengthened its 4G network in Madhya Pradesh (MP) with the deployment of 900MHz on 3,043 sites and 1800MHz on 11,772 sites across the circle (the MP licence area comprises Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh states). According to Vi, the deployment of its spectrum resources in this way will provide customers with faster download speeds and improved voice clarity, particularly in indoor locations. The cellco claims to serve around 20 million 4G users across the region and has increased its 4G population coverage of the area to 71.9% with the installation and upgrade of 4,115 towers since March 2021.
