Announcing that more than eight million premises are now able to sign up to one of its fixed broadband tariffs based on fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) technology, Vodafone UK has claimed it now has the largest full fibre network footprint of any British ISP. In a press release regarding the matter Vodafone UK noted that it had achieved its coverage milestone by creating a ‘unique combination of partnerships’ with infrastructure owners CityFibre and Openreach.

The telco also sought to highlight what it said were cheaper services than its rivals, noting that its top-tier full fibre tariffs – which offers downlink speeds of 910Mbps – is GBP11 (USD13) per month cheaper than rival BT’s equivalent, meaning customers could save more than GBP200 over the course of their fixed broadband contract.

Commenting, Vodafone UK’s Consumer Director, Max Taylor, said: ‘During the current cost-of-living crisis we want consumers to know there is no need to pay too much for an equivalent broadband product, and we urge them to take a look around to get the best price possible … As Vodafone now offers full fibre to eight million homes – more than anyone else – more families than ever before can get the most reliable broadband technology, at an affordable price from a brand they know and trust.’
