Conatel orders telcos to submit tariff changes for approval

9 Jun 2022

Haiti’s National Council of Telecommunications (Conseil National des Telecommunications, Conatel) has enacted a new decision relating to tariff changes. As of 1 June 2022 all domestic telecoms operators have been obliged to submit new tariffs for regulatory review on a quarterly basis. Non-compliance will result in companies being sanctioned with a fine equivalent to between 0.5% and 1% of their annual turnover for the previous fiscal year. The decision was announced by Jean Marie Guillaume, Director General of Conatel, on 31 May.
