Virgin Mobile Poland has merged with its parent company, P4, which trades under the name Play. A report from Telko.in says the companies filed a merger application on 2 May and the transfer of assets took place on 31 May.
In April 2020 Play announced it would be exercising a pre-agreed option to buy Virgin Mobile Poland, paying PLN59 million (USD14 million) for 100% of the Polish MVNO. The transaction was finalised in August that year. Virgin Mobile Poland had revenues of PLN95.5 million in 2021, up 4.2% year-on-year.
