Sweden’s Telia Company has completed the sale of a 49% stake in its domestic mobile tower business to a consortium comprising infrastructure investment firms Brookfield and Alecta. The total cash proceeds to Telia are SEK5.5 billion (USD562 million). Allison Kirkby, Telia Company President and CEO, said: ‘We are delivering on our strategy to both develop and crystalise the value of our digital infrastructure, and I am delighted that we have Brookfield and Alecta as our tower partners in Norway, Finland and now in Sweden.’
