Paratus Botswana has deployed what it says is the first independent fibre network in the central business district of the capital Gaborone. It says the infrastructure complements its national backbone and international connectivity. A company statement said: ‘Paratus has invested heavily in independent fibre connectivity in Botswana as a seamless add-on to its existing infrastructure backbone. This is an ongoing process to cover the business areas initially, giving businesses unmatched uptime via a quality connection.’ Namibia-based Paratus group recently expanded its business in Botswana via the acquisition of ISP Broadband Botswana Internet (BBi).
