DITO looking to extend footprint to Camotes in Cebu province, paper says

The Philippines’ third telco DITO Telecommunity is considering extending its mobile services to Camotes islands in Cebu province, the Philippines News Agency quotes local governor Gwendolyn Garcia as saying yesterday (19 May). The paper notes that officials from DITO held discussions with the governor on 18 May to discuss the plan to bring improved internet connectivity to one of Cebu’s major tourist areas which includes the towns of Poro, Tudela, San Francisco and Pilar.
