US satellite TV giant DISH Network has entered into a distribution agreement with AT&T Communications that will allow it to offer AT&T fixed broadband services – including AT&T Fiber – to prospective, new and existing DISH customers starting this week. Amir Ahmed, EVP of DISH TV, commented: ‘DISH is always looking for ways to improve the overall customer experience. Adding AT&T Internet to our robust line-up of TV and home integration services enhances our ability to provide better overall service, technology and value to our customers.’
TeleGeography notes that DISH – which switched on its long-awaited 5G mobile network in Las Vegas earlier this month – previously offered a satellite broadband service between 2012 and 2018. Its fixed broadband subscription base peaked at 628,000 in March 2016.
