GTT add Enterprise area to fibre footprint

3 May 2022

Guyanese full-service provider GTT has expanded its fibre network to ‘hundreds of households’ in the Enterprise area of the East Coast Demerara Corridor, local news site Demerara Waves reports, citing a statement from the telco. With the development, residents in the area will have access to GTT’s fibre-based broadband voice services, which feature download speeds of up to 150Mbps. Eshwar Thakurdin, COO of GTT’s Home and Fixed Solutions division, was quoted as saying that the company has rolled out fibre to ‘thousands of customers’ in Mahaica, Linden, New Amsterdam, Non Pariel and Vreed-en-Hoop over the last six months and is aiming to provide access to 20,000 more homes by the end of the year.
