Chinese vendor ZTE is reportedly collaborating with Indonesian cable TV and fixed broadband internet provider Link Net (First Media) to supply its ZXONE 9700 DWDM switching equipment to boost the ISP’s network services in Jayabaya Project. In a press release, ZTE noted that its ZXONE 9700 DWDM features ‘100G and beyond 100G-oriented brand-new universal switching equipment’, that can support 100G/400G/1T transmission rates, with the aim of constructing a so-called ‘information superhighway’ from Jakarta to Surabaya. The equipment maker also notes that its platform ‘can support 340km-plus ultra-long haul submarine fibre-optic cable and provide robust protection for customer services’.
