US telecoms giant Verizon Communications has reported total operating revenues of USD33.6 billion for the three months ended 31 March 2022, up 2.1% from USD32.9 billion on an annualised basis. Meanwhile, first quarter operating income was reported at USD7.8 billion, unchanged year-on-year. Finally, net income for 1Q22 was reported at USD4.7 billion, down 12.4% from USD5.4 billion in the year-ago period.
In operational terms, Verizon’s Consumer unit closed out 31 March 2022 with 115.186 million mobile subscriptions and 7.141 million fixed broadband subscriptions. The telco’s Business unit, meanwhile, claimed 27.809 million mobile and 692,000 fixed broadband subscriptions.
