Peruvian fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) provider Win seeks to double its subscription base in 2022, commercial vice president Victor Jauregui has informed BNamericas. The ISP ended 2021 with 132,278 fixed broadband subscriptions, up from just 26,822 at end-2020, after seeing strong uptake in Lima and the north of the country. Going forward, Win will seek to achieve 100% coverage of Lima and expand to the centre and south of the country.
According to its website, Win launched in December 2017, serving a small number of condominiums in Lima and Callao. It is now operational in Chiclayo, Trujillo, Piura and Chimbote and offers download speeds of up to 1Gbps.
