Acquisitions boost United Group turnover in 2021

United Group, which has pay-TV, fixed broadband and mobile operations across southeast Europe, has reported revenues of EUR1.89 billion (USD2.03 billion) for full-year 2021, an increase of 63% year-on-year. The jump was attributed to acquisitions in Bulgaria, Greece and Croatia, as well as organic subscription growth and migration of existing customers onto higher value multi-play packages. EBITDA rose from EUR434.2 million in 2020 to EUR695.7 million last year, while the group’s net loss widened from EUR64.5 million to EUR90.1 million. At the end of 2021 the group claimed 11.33 million revenue generating units (RGUs), up 4% y-o-y.
